This week has been a week that I pray I will endure.
We had AWANA celebration last week..this week its Choir celebration..then Monday night it was AHG Court of Awards..tomorrow is Kindergarten Graduation for Abigail..thru FLVSFT...

And then we have time to breathe..until school is over..6/11. Oh. And then there are 2 musicals for the Kidz choirs...(sighing).

Attitudes are running rampant. From me down to even the Kindy Princess. Again..survival of the biggest jerk I guess wins.

Or at least that is what I have been called. Hurts when you hear your child call you a jerk.
Hurts when your child feels sad..disappointed..frustrated..and you are one of the reasons.
Hurts to hear things why should I trust you? When I try to protect my child (ren) from predators. Like Satan who searches and seeks those that he can devour.

1 more week until ms camp!

Wow! This week is the last week before Rachael goes to MS Summer Camp for a week. Then, we all start a new adventure on August 13--VIRTUAL SCHOOL! Yowzers! Organizing and getting rid of stuff b4 we "start" is a biggie. So not so much new news this time. Rachael is battling with a bug, so we stayed homw from church yesterday. Well..back to work!:)

Good Friday morning, ya'll! I will be taking Rachael with me tonight to a scrapbooking crop. FUN! We are looking forward to it!

Going to library soon..Then home to pack for crop.

Post VBS

Good Wednesday morning! Our family is slowly recovering from VBS all last week..we all had a blast! I served as a table teacher for 2nd grade, including Samuel. It was lots of work, but lots of fun!
Our next adventure will be getting Rachael ready for middle school camp...and getting her stuff ready, too. She will be going to Lake Yale for a week, along with ther 6th graders. She is excited. Hoping she really makes wonderful friends there, as well as experiencing a quiet time with God, without craziness...
We are also orientating ourselves to the virtual school stuff: Timothy was in it last year, now it is Rachael & Samuel's turns...:)

Good morning! VBS is right around the corner...Monday morning! This will be exciting and fun, as I am working with a different age group: 2nd grade! I look forward to getting to know all the boys and girls, and getting to teach them all about Jesus thru Creation Quest. Will try updating all the fun as I can..in the meantime: Happy Friday!

Good morning!

Yesterday our family went to our church so that I (Katrina) could go to a training time for VBS. We packed lunches,etc. We all had a good time: the kids spent time playing with kids their age; I worked on crafts for VBS after a meeting. Then we went to a Gate store for a special treat: Icees!
Then we went to the library. Fun, especially for the kids as they played on computer mostly while I read to Abigail. Then, we went home. Fixed dinner (spaghetti). Good day.
This a.m I am reading a book about organizing, so that I can return to library...as it is requested by someone else:(
Thankful for the ability I have to request books to read without spending $ to figure out it would just add more clutter.     :)
This coming week is VBS. Reading thru the lessons, trying to wrap my head around all. Loving this special opportunity I have to share time with the 2nd graders I will be helping this next week..Praying for them as well as their families..Be blessed!

Hello and Welcome!

Hi! Welcome to our blog! We are a homeschooling family of 6. We love camping, going to church, Cub Scouts, American Heritage Girls, etc. Our eldest is very,very creative. She started her own blog recently. I have started blogs, then they get forgotten, or never get updated. I hope to do better with this one!
I recently discovered the Child Training Bible, and I have finished tabbing and marking a Bible for our family to use.
I also scrapbook, with our eldest. We seem not to take the time to do it often enough, though, as our albums need updating:) .
We recently purchased a new camper, and we have been going camping as often as possible. (We were tent campers for many years). We love camping at the fresh water springs here in Florida, but have gone recently to our first trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. Wow. (1,000 pictures later...and still in camera..seeing a pattern, lol ?). Hoping to encourage myself to keep up with our memories before I forget all the fun stuff. So this blog will be about our trips, daily life, and our journeys here in life as we serve together, as unto the LORD.
